![]() ![]() These beats can be used to treat a myriad of afflictions and can contribute to pain relief, focused attention, positive thinking, meditation, creativity, and memory recall to name a few. An example of this is if you were listening to one frequency at 300 Hz in your left ear and then 310 Hz in your right ear, the binaural beat would be the difference between the two – 10 Hz. ![]() It’s like your ears are listening between the lines. Originally discovered by accident, when Dove was conducting experiments for his Meteorological research, these frequency beats have become the subject of much debate since the 1970s. That’s when I found binaural beats.ĭiscovered in 1839 by Prussian meteorologist Heinrich Wilhelm Dove, a binaural beat is when a listener hears a different frequency lower than 1000 Hz between the left and right ears. Conventional treatments didn’t seem to be working and since there is no cure, I decided to do a bit of research. Thankfully in my case, TN2 is less intense than the more common TN1, meaning that it’s a burning ache versus a powerful, instant shock. The pain can be sudden, and ache for days without relief. It’s a condition that causes severe facial pain stemming from an irritation to the trigeminal nerve. Saying that, I have used them for sleep before and found it very effective.I first found binaural ( pronounced bi-nor-el) beats when I was searching for home remedies for a condition I have called Trigeminal Neuralgia TN2. Other people use them for deep sleep, but I personally have trouble “falling back to sleep” (during sleep insomnia) more so than the process of falling asleep (pre-sleep insomnia) so the idea of having uncomfortable headphone to remove or roll onto is a little off-putting. Usual Result: New ideas, solutions to existing problems, more clarity.Method : When trying to plan/develop/solve/create a problem or idea – I have found these 10-20 minute brainstorming meditations to be very useful.Usual Result: Easier to get into state (especially when highly distractible), although sometimes this makes me too relaxed and unable to stay “on track” with the meditation protocol.Method: 10-30 minute mediation with theta waves.Mediations: (theta waves) – I have found this can help meditations but also other times can put me to sleep.Usual Result:faster to fall asleep & more refreshed when using theta waves. ![]() Method: Theta waves – 20 minute nap – Shot of coffee prior to nap – cover eyes so it is dark!. ![]()
